The Death Of Christ
The cross of Christ was necessary to restore sinful man back to God’s original design. To understand the cross, we must understand the beginning.
Stages of growth - Children, Young men, Fathers - 1 John 2:12-14
Many Christians are just happy their sins are forgiven, that they have been saved from hell.
Children, are happy their sins are forgiven
Young men, likewise are experiencing victory over sin. This is also good, but not the whole truth.
Fathers, meanwhile, are not just content with forgiveness of sins or victory over debilitating sinful patterns, but they see the big picture. They see and know the One who is eternal, who is the beginning and the end of all things.
This is a vivid picture of how Christians should mature in their understanding of Jesus’ death and resurrection.
